For those looking to learn to skydive on their own, Skydive Imperial offers the Accelerated Freefall program (AFF).

Level 1 begins with a 4-6 hour ground school. Upon completion of your ground training, you will get suited up for your skydive. You will be accompanied by two USPA certified AFF instructors, who will hold on to you during freefall to ensure stability. Once you've landed, your instructor will give you a debrief of your skydive. After successfully completely the level 1 objectives, you will proceed to your level 2 skydive.

Levels 2 and 3: Prior to each of your next skydives, you will receive a 20-30 minute briefing, covering the jump's objectives. These first few jumps focus primarily on teaching you the basic safety skills, such as altitude awareness, stability during freefall, proper body position (arch), and a successful ripcord pull. Two AFF instructors will accompany you on each of these jumps. On Level 3, your instructors will release you in freefall and you will fly on your own for the first time. Upon landing, you will receive a debrief of your skydive.

Levels 4-7: These levels require a single AFF instructor. You will continue to build your skills, learning how to turn, take docks, forward movement, front loops, back loops, and diving exits. You will receive a briefing and debriefing on each level.

Upon completing level 7, you are clear to jump own your own. Your next step is working towards your A-license, which requires a minimum of 25 jumps.

Requirements: 18 years or older and 240 lbs. or less.
